Does a nikon digital camera take the same quality photos a professional nikon camera would?

Olympus vs. nikon digital camera?
I am going to ask for a new camera for Christmas and wanted to know which was better.....I am either going to get the olympus camera that is waterproof, shockproof, etc and i believe it is called stylus tough 3000 or the nikon s4000...this is one of the touch screen nikon digital cameras. If anyone has either one of these please leave feedback...thanks in advance

Can a nikon lens with an aperture ring be used on a digital nikon camera to control the aperture? I know the lens will work set at the smallest aperture on some, but is there one where you can actually use it? Also, is there a Nikon that has a button for aperture and shutter speed in manual mode? I have the d5000 and in manual I can't control both, and i don't like the camera choosing, and my aperture ring won't work with it.

Can a Nikon digital camera double as a webcam?
I have been wanting to get a digital camera for awhile now. I had a webcam, but something happened to it and I do not want to have to replace it AND get a digital camera, when I know that some cameras can also be used as webcams. I know that Nikon is a good company but I do not know if their cameras are webcams. If they do not make those types of cameras, can anyone tell me what makers DO have a good quality camera webcam for a decent price?

Nikon digital camera noise problem?
Hi all,I recently bought a Nikon S3000 Digital Camera and it's been all good for a day or so. However whenever I turn the camera on it makes a noise, it sort of sounds like a focus lens clicking noise but it's very loud and it happens even if I am not touching the camera. Anyone had similar problems or know of a solution ?thanks. sam
