What's the best way to cover a digital camera lens?
My camera Olympus mju 7010 just is functioning properly, however one part of the lens cover is either a stuck or b missing. Either way, I'm not sure what to do, and I can't find it. Does anyone know a way to cover the lens while the camera is not in use so that it doesn't get damaged?

Will the presence of condensed water on a digital camera lens for a few seconds damage its protective coating?
I blew some air from my mouth on my digital camera lens to moisten it so I could wipe off the oil smears from the camera lens with a cotton swab...then I thought if it would have affected the protective coating of my camera, is it my doubt or the presence of condensed water on camera lens for a few seconds or wiping with cotton swab afterwards could have damaged its protective coating?

Can you use a digital camera lens for a film camera about twenty years old?
i don't have a specific lens in mind, but the camera is a canon rebel II

Canon SLR digital camera lens!?
I want to buy a camera as a gift. I saw a great price on a Canon SLR and it comes with a few lenses. However, these lenses are Tamron brand. I have never heard of them and I was just wondering if they are worth it or if I should just stick with finding a Canon with canon brand lenses. Any input would help. Thanks

Nikon S220 digital camera lens problem?
Alright, I got a camera about hmm.. let's say a year ago. It's a Nikon S220 and I dropped it. Now, all it does when I turn it on is retract the lens in and out and then flash a " Lens Error" and the vision is all blurry. Is this a problem I can fix at home, or do I have to take it into a shop?It's a Coolpix, incase that wasn't clear

How would I know if my digital camera lens is broken?
It fell on the floor once. Consequently, the images taken after it fell are extremely distorted. Also, the images are poorly lit. There is no physical or seen crack on its surface. I wonder if it has internal crack in the lens. I just want to know, what are the probable signs that the lens is broken?FYI The lcd is working fine Sorry for asking this question, I know most people will tell me to have it checked by a technician. I will eventually. I just want to make sure if it really has a broken lens. Thanks in advance

I know that 18 55mm is 3 times magnification, is it a simple calculation of 200 divided by 18?

Can a digital camera lens be used on a film camera?
I have a canon 50D and im thinking about purchasing a film camera for school. The lens on my canon is the standard one that came with it. Im thinking about buying a film canon SLR and just wanted to know if the lens from my 50D would work with any. And if it only works with particularly SLR's which ones.Also if anyone has any recommendations on what film camera to get that would help too.

How much will it cost to fix a digital camera lens/what can i do to fix a jammed lens?
I dropped my friends camera samsung pl81 from a height of around 3 4ft with moderate force on to its lens and its now jammed and when i lie the camera down the furthest lens out is at an angle where part of it is raised, ive tried gently pushing the lense back in but nothing seems to be working. Im considering finding a repair shop to get it fixed is there anything i can try or can someone tell me how much id be looking to pay for a repair

Digital camera lens closing problem?
I have a sony dsc p200 digital camera. The camera has been dropped a few times so maybe it has something to do with it. Whenever i try to turn the camera off, the lens closes, then opens back, then closes again. It does that for 3 times, then stays closed. It used to be just an immediate lens closing. But now it's not. Is there anyway i can fix it? or if u have an idea on where to look? When it opens too, it opens immediately
